Hi I am Stephen Heads and I am a Soft Tissue and Remedial/ Sports Massage Therapist.

My clinic is in Rothbury, Northumberland but I also offer a mobile service.

There will be many reasons why you may need my help, from general massage to more involved treatment for muscle dysfunction and joint issues.

My business name, although a play on words of my name, is not just that. The body is enveloped completely by soft tissue (like wearing a complete wetsuit) meaning that a pain or dysfunction in one area may well be caused by an issue in a totally different area.

Sports and remedial massage is not just related to sports injuries. It can help anyone suffering with a muscle or other soft tissue problem. It may not stop there; you may think you have a joint problem, however this may be the consequence of the soft tissues attached to the joint.

Treatment should not just be for the times when pain/injury suggests its necessity. Consider your car, you have regular services of the vehicle to keep it in good condition you do not just take it to a garage when it has a problem. A lot of injuries are caused by overuse of muscles and other soft tissues, this can be detected at regular maintenance sessions.
